Larson Earns Second Victory of the Season

11/15/2010 - The #88 Justin Larson/Reno Power/Eternal Hybrid Water Heaters Racing team clenched a walk-away win in the closing leg of the Hoosier Elite Late Model Series at Desoto Super Speedway on Saturday night. Justin Larson and crew started the night off with the second fast lap in qualifying for the race, and after the pill inversion, the #88 machine started on the pole next to seasoned veteran, Joe Boyd. Larson's start to the race was flawless putting him out into the early lead where he pulled away from the second and third place cars.

Larson stated, “I told myself at the start of the race that if I jumped out into an early lead, I would go hard for a few laps to try and distance myself from the rest of the field. After ten or so laps into the race, Jason, my crew chief told me I had pulled away far enough and it was time to ride. From then on, I ran a few hard laps and then a few easy laps. I wanted to save my car and tires for the end of the race in case there was a battle brewing.” The Reno Power/Eternal Hybrid Water Heaters #88 would stretch the lead out by more than a straight away in the 75-lap caution free race. Larson and his crew would pray for no cautions as the laps ticked off. “Yes, it makes a good race for the fans, but it also makes it hard to keep your patience and cool when you're already that much ahead of the other racers,” stated Justin.

When the checkered flag flew, the 22-year-old would earn his second Victory of the season. An excited Justin Larson/Reno Power/Eternal Hybrid Water Heaters crew and sponsors celebrated Justin's win in victory lane. The team heads to New Smyrna Speedway to participate in the 45th Annual Florida Governor's Cup 200 to close out the 2010 racing season. Justin will hit the track in his new Port City Racing Super Late Model. The team has put in endless hours preparing the high-powered machine for this race and are looking forward to great results.“I just hope this hard work pays off for next weekend, and we can give the fans a great ending to our season,” Larson says “I just want to thank all the sponsors, my fans, and my family, for the support and dedication to this amazing season.” Racing starts under the lights at 7:00 PM on Saturday, November, 20th in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
