JLR, Inc. to Watermelon Capitol Speedway – Cordele, GA
05/06/2009 - The Justin Larson Racing, Inc. team heads to Watermelon Capitol Speedway in Cordele, GA this weekend for the fourth race of the season in the ASA Late Model Series South Division. Larson is currently fourth in points behind Drew Brannon, Brandon Johnson and Dustin Dunn. Justin is only fifteen points behind Dunn and looks to take over the third position this weekend.
"I'm looking forward to getting back in the ASA car. We took our Super Late Model over to New Smyrna two weeks ago and finished really well in it. That really got my confidence up," stated Larson. "We've been doing great in the ASA series but I just can't get rid of my bad luck. If it weren't for flat tires and lapped cars, we could be sitting pretty well in points."
NASCAR driver Kyle Busch dominated both the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series races last weekend at Richmond while celebrating a birthday. Larson, who will be celebrating his 21st birthday this Saturday, hopes to follow in Kyle Busch's footsteps. "To get my first ASA win this weekend would be awesome. There would be no better way to celebrate a win, my birthday, and Mother’s Day all in one," explained Larson. Racing gets underway for the ASA Series, Saturday, May 9th at 9:30 PM.
